...Ponderings...

My thoughts on life, love, family, friends, and God.

I just sat and watched "Crash" today. It was a very powerful movie. It seemed like something that would have been a huge controversy. I guess I never realized, or thought about, the amount of hate crimes that take place every day in this country, and probably around the world.

Funny how most of us shut this kind of stuff out. We don't want to face it, we don't want to think about it. It really makes you think about who you are as a person and that's what people don't want to do. They don't want to admit that inside, deep down, they feel the same way toward other cultures.

It's not even always about hate or racism. It's very often about stereotypes. We're all guilty of it and if you say you aren't, you're lying.

The next time you profile somebody, think about how you would feel if they did the same to you.
